Without help, teeth are unlikely to straighten out as they grow. Jaw growth can also affect the bite in a variety of ways and it is rare for it to improve spontaneously. As permanent molars begin to erupt, the space available for teeth also decreases as time progresses.

We recommend following the American Association of Orthodontists guidelines which state that children should have an orthodontic screening at age 7. At the age of 7, most children have some permanent teeth completely erupted, this allows our doctor to identify any orthodontic issues early on and create a long-term treatment plan.

No, a referral from your dentist is not necessary to schedule an appointment. While many of our patients come referred to us from their dentist, another large portion of our patients schedule an appointment on their own without a referral.
